Thai Syok @ Wisma Central KL

6:45 AM

Recently I found a hidden Thai restaurant in town which located in the center of Kuala Lumpur City. Thai Syok is located at Wisma Central, Kuala Lumpur which is just beside KLCC. It’s a hidden gem that hide in the basement of the building. I like how they decorated the ambient into a very graffiti way with lots of graffiti on the wall, colorful wooden tables as well as those retro props. The whole environment is very cozy and artistic.

Thai Syok served authentic Thai street foods that will definitely make you “Syok” after tasting it. And it is a PORK FREE restaurant. Let’s check out what are the dishes that make me “Syok” after tasting it.

Small Tom Yum Seafood Soup
Tom Yum Seafood Soup is a must order dishes in every Thai restaurant. In my food tasting experiences, some of the Tom Yum soups are either too sour or too spicy. But Thai Syok Tom Yum Seafood Soup is just nice to drink. As for me, it is neither too sour nor too spicy.

Crispy Duck with Red Wine Sauce
Don’t get wrong with the name of this dish. Crispy Duck with red Wine Sauce is cook without any alcohol indeed it is a very special dish. The duck is crispy outside tender inside. The sauce is actually tasted sweet and sour. It is quarter of duck being served per dish. Trust me! You will never get enough of this after trying it.

Papaya Salad
Comes to the Papaya Salad, Thai Syok Papaya Salad is really nice. Unlike other restaurant, Papaya Salad served here is very crispy and refreshing. It is really stimulating my appetite.

Thai Yellow Curry Seafood
Thai Yellow Curry Seafood is making me “Syok” when the first try. It taste really special and you can taste a little bit of coconut milk in it. It is being well served with fresh seafood such as fish, prawn and squid. The spiciness levels of this yellow curry will definitely “Syok” you. You know why? It is really very spicy.

Golden Pineapple Fried Rice
Another main dish being served is the Golden Pineapple Fried Rice which cooked to perfection in golden yellow color. Not too oily and the sweet and sour pineapple in the fried rice is the perfect combination ever.

Mango Sticky Rice Thai Syok Style
Mango Sticky Rice is a must have dessert in every Thai restaurant. Thai Syok sticky rice taste good. The mango is quite sweet in taste and the coconut milk is creamy enough. The smell of the coconut milk is totally irresistible.

Thai Moment
Thai Moment is a drink which is the combination of honey, “Cincau” & “Pandan” water. It is a must to have a fresh and cold drinks like this too chill you when having Thai foods.
