Stone Steam Pot Restaurant @ Bandar Puteri, Puchong

10:09 PM

Steamboat is really very popular nowadays, and there are many steamboat restaurants in KL and Selangor. Normally, steamboat restaurant will use induction cooker or gas stove to cook the foods.  However, there is a new steamboat restaurant using a different method to cook the foods.

People nowadays are demanding a better and healthy life, they are paying more focus on healthy foods. Hence, Stone Steam Pot Restaurant will be the best place for them. Stone Steam Pot Restaurant is the first steamboat restaurant in Malaysia that is using steam pot to cook the raw foods. It is using steam gas to cook the foods instead of using soup boil. This is a brand new concept in the market, this method of cooking can easily bring out the natural taste of the foods.

The interior design of the restaurant is simple and it is like normal Chinese restaurant. There are steam pots in every tables and those are the highlight of the restaurant. The customers of the restaurant are mainly family and senior citizens. This is because the foods being served is very healthy.

There are different timing of steaming for each of the foods. Those timing is the best timing that can bring out the perfect taste of the foods. The restaurant prepared a card written all the steaming time for each of the foods, and there are timer for the steam pot, so don’t panic of the timing.

Don’t worry if you don’t know how to start with this awesome meal, the staff will be assisting you all the time. Firstly, the staff will put rice, pork spareribs, and also water in the bottom of the stone pot. This is for porridge cooking and the surprise will stay at last.

After that, the staff will put a steaming pad in the middle of the steam pot. Now is the time to cook some foods, the staff is putting crabs and some vegetables on top of the steaming pad and cover up the pot.

The dish being served next will be the seafood including prawns, clams, mussels, scallops and fish. Using steam style of cooking the foods can easily bring out the original and natural taste of the foods. However, it is very easy to know that if the ingredients are not fresh enough. Stone Steam Pot Restaurant is very cautious about the freshness of the ingredients especially seafood. All the ingredients being served are definitely met the standard of freshness as the ingredients are coming in everyday especially the seafood.

Stone Steam Pot Restaurant also serving some special foods which is the handmade balls that made by the restaurant itself. The handmade balls are fresh and they are very chewy and bouncy. These items are the customers’ favorite.

Maybe you will find the taste of the foods bland because there is only minimum seasoning being put to bring out the natural taste of the foods. But, there is a solution for this. The restaurant is prepared a lot of the sauces for the customers to dip with. Customer can easily mix their own sauce according to their preferences. The staff will guide you on mixing the recommended sauce if you want. The recommended sauce is the mixture of coriander, soy sauce, garlic, ginger and also fried onion oil. I have made my own sauces also, and personally I am really like it. My recipe of the sauce is mix the chili padi, coriander, soy sauce and also lime. Sour and spiciness of the sauce is easily stimulate your taste bud.

At last, when you finish all the foods. You will now proceeding to the last dish, which is the porridge that we put in the bottom of the pot. When the staff took the steaming pad out, you will smell a very strong fragment aroma. This is the porridge that have all the essence of the seafood we previously had. You can taste the natural sweetness of the seafood and also the taste of the spareribs. It is a very special porridge with unique taste and you will totally love it.

Overall, I like this restaurant very much. I will definitely bring my parents to here one day. Lets eat healthy together!
