Sekinchan & Firefly Park (Kuala Selangor)
7:31 AM
Oh ho ho! Finally! We saw the paddy field finally. Yesterday baby boy
bring me to see the paddy field. Sekinchan is a little town in the
middle of the main rice-bowl area of Selangor, in the Sabak Bernam district. Based on my research, Sekinchan
in Chinese mean "village suitable for plantation', the land and weather is
suitable for farming of paddy, fruits and palm tree. It is the highest rice
production per acre in Malaysia. The paddy harvest season is only in June and December.
We are so lucky able to see the golden paddy field. I
think we should plan to go to their fishing village next time. I think it
should be a nice place to go. ;)
Before we back, we also been to the
firefly park that is located at Kuala Selangor. The place was really wonderful.
You can witness the sight of millions of fireflies flashing
in synchrony, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the
World”. We had taken the boat ride along the
Selangor River where the fireflies inhibit around the branches of the trees along
the riverbank. There trees are like Christmas trees. We were like in the
wonderland surrounded by all the tiny lights. There are up to thousands of
fireflies may group together on a tree, beginning their display about one hour
after sunset. Hah! This is also based on my research. LOL! Not much photos here
because bringing my DSLR to there was very inconvenient for me, it’s too big. I
think that’s all for today. For more information please click HERE. I have to pack
my luggage for tomorrow trip. See ya!
