Jonker 88 @ Malacca
7:57 PM
Back from
Malacca on last week and this is the first post of Malacca trip. Proudly
recommend to you the super duper delicious Cendol and Nyonya Asam Laksa in the
town. This shop is located at Jonker Street which named Jonker 88. And there
are 2 stalls outside selling Cendol and Nyonya Asam Laksa. The other stalls
serve some finger foods.
Every time I
go to Malacca I will definitely drop by to this shop to have their famous
Cendol and Nyonya Asam Laksa. The Cendol just like any others Cendol, it comes
with red beans, Santan, green Cendol jelly and ice. But what makes it special
is the Gula Melaka that pours on the top. It is thick enough and it is really
taste good. Yum Yum! Beside this original Cendol, they also serve others flavors
like
Eight-Precious Chendol, Mango, Durian and so on.
For the Nyonya Asam Laksa, it is my
favorite! It comes with rice noodle, tuna, prawn,
half an egg and some sliced cucumber and onion on the top. I didn’t taste this
dish at anywhere else. I think it is only at Malacca.
But the sad
thing is it is not easy to find a seat to enjoy the foods. It was crowded every
time I paid a visit to this shop. But the shop does have the historical feel.
They have some historical artifacts and relics on display inside the shop.
Overall, the
dishes are nice. Highly recommended. But I
am not sure what the address is. Just look for the number 88 signboard in
Jonker Street will do. :)
