As promised, here’s the birthday dinner post
of mine. Nothing fancy for this year birthday, my boyfriend and I choose to
have Japanese charcoal grill experience in ROCKU Yakiniku. ROCKU Yakiniku
located at the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Pavilion Mall. Currently is the must-try
Japanese charcoal grill restaurant in town.
The ambient of the restaurant is very
unique. The restaurant is decorated in very artistic style and you can see the
Samurai cartoon hand painted on the wall. There is a small stage on the middle
of the restaurant for various performance such as magic shows and music live
performance. Isn’t it very cool?
ROCKU serve grill meat and seafood in
buffet style. Meats included pork belly, bacon, beef imported from Australia and
New Zealand, and lamb slice which is new in the menu. Meat is fresh and juicy. Seafood selection is included salmon, squid, mussel, butter fish, scallop, shishamo
and prawn. I like how they marinate the scallop, it tasted good. All of these
you can order as many times as you like. Eat until you are satisfied.
Other than that, there are also ready
cooked dishes and fresh vegetables for grill in the food bar. Ready cooked
dishes include fried rice, spaghetti, fried snacks, chuka idako and so on.
There are varieties of choices that make you hard to decide which to go first.
Don’t worry if you think that is not enough
because ROCKU serve side dishes too such as udon, ramen, miso soup,
chawanmushi, rice and so on. Unlimited order as long as you can finish it.
The best part in ROCKU is you don’t feel
smoky due to the charcoal grill. Unlike others BBQ restaurant, in ROCKU you
don’t have to worry you smell like charcoal when you come out to the
restaurant. And of course, the air conditioner is cold enough so you won’t feel
hot while grilling in the restaurant.
It is only Rm39.90 for lunch and Rm49.90
for dinner. Patrons are limited to enjoy your meal for only 100 minutes.
Additional Rm9.90 for another 20 minutes. The price is very reasonable for a
Japanese BBQ buffet like this. I think it is worth to try.
