Authentic BBQ @ Taman Bukit Maluri, Kuala Lumpur

Looking for Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) as dinner or supper? You should pay a visit to Authentic BBQ 古早 located at Kepong. Authentic BBQ served Yakiniku in a very traditional way with charcoal stove in the middle of the table. They served variety of BBQ raw meats, seafood, vegetables, Yakitori and others Japanese side dishes.

Lamb Pot- Rm22
We ordered their Lamb Pot as our starter. It is served in a clay pot with lamb meats and veggies. The lamb is juicy and tender. The soup is taste salty and rich in flavour. It is recommended to eat with plain rice together. The soup is still sizzling and it is perfect match with the cold weather outside.

Lamb Loin- Rm15 | Pork Belly- Rm10 | Pork Shoulder Loin- RM10
Authentic BBQ served variety of BBQ raw meats for you to grill. BBQ raw meats include pork, beef and lamb. We have ordered few plates of the lamb loin, pork belly, pork shoulder loin. All of them are so fresh and all are ready to be grilled.

Chapati- Rm5 (8pcs)
This is my first time eat Japanese BBQ with chapati. In Authentic BBQ, everyone eat the meat with chapati. How to eat? First, grill the chapati on the charcoal stove for a short while. Next, place your grilled meat and put some sauce and lime on it. Wrap it and eat it. It is super nice compared to just eat the grilled meat straight away.

Chili Flakes | Salt Pepper | Vegetables Sauce | Lime
Grilled meats can be dip with the chili flakes or salt pepper. Chili flakes can enhance the taste of the meats while salt pepper can bring out the original taste of the meats. The black sauce is actually blended with various type of vegetables. Somehow it taste like Mentai sauce for me. You can mix everything together and dip the meats with your customize sauce.

Mix Vegetables- Rm7

Ojiya- Rm14
We order Ojiya as well to fill up our tummy. Ojiya is a Japanese Rice Soup served in a clay pot. It is cooked with pork belly and the soup is rich in flavours. The portion is big and this is suitable to be shared among 3 to 4 person.

Umeshu Bottle- Rm20
Never miss out to have the Umeshu Bottle. It is a Japanese alcohol which is made from ume fruits. It is good to drink while having Yakiniku. Based on what the boss said, Umeshu Bottle is the girls’ favourite instead of the bottomless green tea.
