A Pie Thing
is a must eat temptation recently. I bet you all have heard about this
restaurant. From their shop name, you should already know what they serve. Yes,
they served all kind of savory pies. A Pie Thing is located at Up Town Damansara
Utama. Their shop is facing the LDP highway.
They are open
from 4pm Tuesday to Sunday until the pies are all sold out. So do come early.
Because they only served 60 pies everyday. They have variety of pies from
savory pies to dessert sweet pies. Savory pies include Chilli Cheese, Chunky
Steak, Lamb-filled Pie, Chicken Mushroom, Cheesy Chicken, Creamy Spinach and so
on. For their sweet pie they have Sweet Potatoes, Apple, Nutella + Ice cream
and so on.
Before you grab a seat, you have to place your order in front of the counter. Then take your number and wait for the calls to collect your pies at the collection counter. Look at their signboard menu! Cute and simple graphic, it is very easy to understand.
Move on to their design of the shop. They use black color as their theme in the shop. From the tables, chairs to the signboard menu and cement, everything is very straightforward and simple. It is very comfortable when you step into the shop. They even have a chocolate counter that sells lots of chocolates.
Pies are served in a paper box in a steel basket with a wooden fork with their name “A Pie Thing” on it. Awww. Lovely! The Mashacre is their signature style of eating pie. It is a pie of your choice with the topping of mashed potato, peas and gravy.
Let’s see what we have order. We have their Chunky Steak pie & Pulled Lamb with the topping of mashed potato, peas and gravy + soda (Rm19.90). The staff recommends these 2 flavors for us. Both of them are delicious. I cant even finish 1 pie because it is too big for me. But nearly Rm20 for a pie is a bit pricy for me. But once in a while its okay la.

Nay or Yay?
Try it yourself. I heard that their sweet pies are not bad too. Gonna try it
next time!
