BountiFU Spring Celebration with Po the Kungfu Panda @ Sunway Pyramid

“Have you seen my village?” was the question many Malaysians faced when they came across a walking panda in streets of various areas of Klang Valley recently.

Po, the popular panda character from Kungfu Panda was searching for his village to celebrate the Lunar New Year! Guess everyone watch this movie before right? I love this animation movie so much!

As it turns out, it was all a Lunar New Year campaign by Sunway Pyramid. The popular shopping mall has transformed its Orange Concourse into a scene inspired from Kungfu Panda 3, the latest instalment that features Po united with his family in the Panda Village.

Similar like the movie, the mall’s BountiFU Spring Lunar New year features the panda village nestled amidst the mountains, where a Chinese temple lies, surrounded by cherry blossom trees. It is good to take lots of beautiful photos in this panda village.

The party to celebrate Po finding the Panda Village was in full swing, with 38 children dressed in panda costumes. Don’t you think that they are very cute? Besides that, there are a huge “lou sang” session with the invited guests too. Other activities at the party include dough-doll making, fortune telling, calligraphy, lucky draw and more.

Tow weeks ago, Po was seen going around the Kuala Lumpur city centre, Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya and Shah Alam since the final week of December 2015. He was caught strolling at KL Tower, Zoo Negara, KL Bird Park, SS2 night market and the Kota Kemuning Park amongst many other places.

Now, the huge panda will be greeting shoppers on weekends in Sunway Pyramid! Don’t forget to give him a free hug!

Shoppers will also be delighted with a photo booth where they can take pictures with Po’s family, and print immediately as a souvenir.

Those who love the traditional Beard Candy and Ting- Ting candy or are in need of new oriental outfits will be able to find them easily in the mall.

“Festive shopping can get hectic as many are surveying and purchasing in bulk but we would suggest shoppers to shop early or come to the mall earlier to get their festive needs with lesser hassle,” Loo advises.

With over 900 shops to wander, the mall is a perfect choice for festive shopping and dining.

As 2016 is the year of the Fire Monkey, the mall will be rewarding shoppers with adorable monkey plush toys. From the 8^th until 21^st January, shoppers who spend more than Rm1000 in 3 receipts (Rm800 for HSBC cardholders) will be able to redeem the monkey plush toys, while those who shop from 22^nd January until 9^th February will receive a mini Panda blankie. Throughout both duration, shoppers who spend Rm250 and above (Rm150 for HSBC cardholders) will be rewarded with JoyFU angpau packets.

Sunway Pyramid also recognizes the various needs of services during the festive season hence they have improved their free Buggy service to be available at selected larger car park levels, to ensure convenience for shoppers. Those with heavy shopping bags, strollers and children may find the buggy a relief.

Po aside, shoppers can also enjoy the Lion Dance performance every Sunday, as well as on both days of the Lunar New Year. The second day of the New Tear will feature an Acrobatic Lion dance show at the Main Entrance to bless the mall.
