Show Your Love For Animals At FUN Tee

I was attending another event yesterday at Fahrenheit88. I received the
invitation call from the Marketing Manager of Pavilion before the event. I am
glad to attend such an event. It was a prize giving ceremony of Design for a Cause
held by FUN tee. FUN tee is a T-shirt retailer at Ground Floor, Fahrenheit88
shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur. It is more than just clothes; it is a fashion
statement, a freedom to express yourself and to show off your individual side.
The store carries a wide range of exclusive tee shirts that cater to both men
and women of all age groups.
This contest was held in FUN tee store in Fahrenheit88, Bukit Bintang. Participants
were inviting to create a T-shirt design with a message to support an animal
cause. There were 7 winners being announced which were one grand prize winner
and 6 consolation winners. Originally there was only one winner in this
contest. But due to the overwhelming design submissions and creativity, they
decided to award an additional 6 consolation winners. All the winner design
will be printed on the tees.
The Grand Prize went to 13 years old Michelle Chow Tien Nee who designed
a unique T-shirt of an Orang Utan hugging the wearer with a message that reads ‘Care
for Them, If you have a heart, Protect Them, Do your part’. The Grand Prize winner
walked away with Rm500 FUN tee voucher, and proudly with her T-shirt design
printed and retailer at FUN tee. 6 other consolation winners were awarded with
an RM50 FUN tee voucher.
In collaboration with Paws Animal Welfare Society, the contest was
organized to increase awareness on animal welfare amongst the youth as well as
general public. 50% of the sales of the Design for a Cause tees will be
contributed to PAWS for their good use.
Edward Lim, representative of PAWS was invite to the ceremony and gave a
talk on the roles and responsibilities of the PAWS Animal Welfare Society and
the importance of neutering. He said that the main mission of PAWS is to look
after stray cats and dogs and to re-home them if possible. There is so much we
can do on our own, that is why we would like to take this opportunity to make a
call out to the public to come by our PAWS shelter in Subang to help these
animals in need by either adopting them of offering volunteer service.
